Reinforces leadership in secure healthcare data exchange with CAN/DGSI 103-2:2021/Rev 1:2024 validation

IDENTOS Inc., a leader in enabling secure access to healthcare and government digital services, today announced it has successfully completed a conformity assessment against the new national standard, CAN/DGSI 103-2:2021 / Rev 1: 2024, Digital Trust and Identity – Part 2: Delivery of Healthcare Services, becoming the first entity to do so since the standard’s publication.

This achievement, reviewed by the Digital Governance Council (DGC), reinforces IDENTOS as a leader in digital trust within the Canadian healthcare ecosystem. It validates that the company’s platform meets rigorous requirements for the secure and trustworthy exchange of health information and is designed to support user-centric consent and authorization, and is supported by referenceable clients and case studies.

The national standard provides a digital trust framework for the secure exchange of health information in federated health networks. It aims to facilitate the creation of user-centric, interoperable health networks that improve the accessibility and security of healthcare services. The standard addresses crucial topics such as user agency, data standards, privacy, consent, and identity re-use, while ensuring compliance with local regulatory and legislative requirements.  The newest revision of the standard provides increased clarity on access controls and authorization, enhanced user agency, and clearer governance on identity federation.

"This achievement underscores IDENTOS’ commitment to upholding the highest standards for handling sensitive health data.  By aligning our platform with this updated national standard, we are not only reinforcing our role in advancing digital trust and interoperability but also future-proofing our solutions for the evolving requirements of digital health, including enhanced data governance and identity federation." – Brion Muldoon, CIO, IDENTOS

This achievement further demonstrates IDENTOS’ commitment to globally recognized privacy and security standards. It reflects the organization's dedication to excellence, security, and customer confidence in its platform.
