During COVID, hospitals and service providers can remotely proof a patient's identity, and allow a patient to access test results and skip in person interactions like waiting in line at check-in or registration, improving both the safety of people and the efficiency of the process.
Ontario's trusted account digital credential is a part of the broader work being done by the Treasury Board Secretariat and the Ministry of Health to accelerate the adoption of digital identities within Ontario’s Health system.
